Microsoft Defender for Office 365 support for Microsoft Teams in Preview

Have you already read that Microsoft Teams support for Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is in preview? Well it is. To start with you need Microsoft Defender for Office 365 plan 2. If you do not have it you can use the 90 day trial of Microsoft 365 Defender for Office 365 Plan 2.

What it included in Microsoft Defender for Office 365 support for Microsoft Teams (Preview)?

  • Report suspicious messages to admins and Microsoft
  • Report suspicious files to admins and Microsoft
  • Zero-Hour Auto Purge (ZAP) to automatically detect and protect users of malicious phishing, spam, or malware messages even if the message is already read
  • Quarantine of ZAP message which can be checked by admins
  • Teams Message Entity Panel for central and immediate SecOps review
  • Attack simulation training

How to enable Defender for Office 365 support for Microsoft Teams (Preview)?

At the moment you cannot just turned it on to test it. You have to enable it in order to join the preview rollout schedule by Microsoft. This will add your tenant to the preview features during the preview period.
