In a recent Microsoft 365 roadmap update improvements for Teams call delegation were announced. Call delegation in Microsoft Teams is changed and extended.
The rollout started in August 2023. So, you might have already noticed or been able to use the updated feature. In case you haven’t been able to, it might take some more time for the change to land in your Microsoft 365 tenant.
The user experience was simplified to switch more easily between delegator lines to view and manage each as a delegate.

In my opinion the most important changes are that a delegator gets the ability to view and join an ongoing delegated call which is handled by the delegate. To do so, the delegator can grant the permissions accordingly. The following screenshot highlights the change. In my Microsoft 365 tenant and Teams (preview) client the feature was available at the time of writing this overview and communication news update.
