In this post I like to highlight that group chat with external users in Microsoft Teams became available in May 2021. Before the feature release it was not possible to have a group chat with external users in the Teams chat space. To have a multi-party chat with external participants or users you had to create a Teams meeting. Finally, we’ve got group chat with exernal users. There is nothing what needs to be enabled for this, it will be available for users as soon as it is live in your tenant. To start, you can just create a new chat and add external Team users to your chat.
