Microsoft Teams is finally bringing a feature that many of us in the Teams Phone space have been waiting for: shared call history in the Queues app. Starting January 2026, queue members will be able to view all call events in one place, making it easier to track interactions and ensure seamless follow-up.

While the rollout comes with some important caveats such as requiring a Teams Premium license, admin enablement, and no initial support for tenant migration of call history the potential impact is significant. For organizations that rely on call queues, this enhancement really represents a major step forward in transparency and efficiency.

Conclusion, opinion and summary
Personally, I’m excited to see this long-awaited capability finally arrive. It’s a clear signal that Microsoft is listening to the needs of Teams Phone users and continuing to evolve the platform in ways that directly support real-world workflows.
Stay tuned! The Microsoft documentation should receive an update before the rollout as stated in the message center notification which will show you how to enable it because it is disabled by default!
