Be creative in your Team meetings with the refreshed Microsoft Whiteboard

In the hybrid workplace where people work in different locations, offices, meeting spaces and remote there is a need for interactive collaboration. But not only in common office files, like Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Depending on the people and their tasks a more flexible way to collaborate and brainstorm is needed. That’s where the refreshed Microsoft Whiteboard in Team meetings can help to be creative with the people wherever they are (with their device and a Internet link).

Having a whiteboard to quickly draw or write something to visualize thoughts, ideas, processes etc. for explanation or brainstorming is very important in meetings. The new Microsoft Whiteboard supports this so that you can start to put your elements (text, images, drawings, shapes, reactions, …) to a digital and online whiteboard. You can use the whiteboard in Teams channels or meetings, or also as standalone app.

  • 40+ Templates
  • 12 new sticky notes & note grids

Conclusion, opinion and summary

My first impression is very positiv. The refresh and news enable people to make their meetings and collaboration using the Microsoft Whiteboard in Teams easier, smoother and helps people to start by using templates depending on their actual use case. The usability is really easy and I’m exited to get the Whiteboard app on Windows soon, too. In my opinion, it’s a must-have app in the hybrid workplace where people are working in different locations and devices to come together, be creative and productive.
