In a recent Microsoft 365 Message Center notification “Affected Teams behavior in Chrome due to privacy sandboxing” (MC697433) Microsoft warns und informs about an upcoming change in Google Chrome. This will affect Teams running in the Google Chrome browser.

The message center notification says that the change to Google Chrome will start from January 2024 to gradually introduce privacy sandboxing in the web for 1% of their users from January onwards, with the full rollout expected in late 2024. This will affect some Teams experiences in Chrome. The advice is to use the Teams desktop client if you are in the rollout group.
