Microsoft’s annual major developer conference took place. Now it is time to recap, and I would like to provide you with some of my highlights regarding Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, Devices, and Copilot. I will provide an overview. - Microsoft 365 Copilot interaction export APIs, which are intended to be used for security and compliance purposes by a customer or service provider to scan and analyze Copilot prompts, responses, and interactions, and gain insights.
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) support to enable leveraging external AI services.
- Agent2Agent Protocol (A2A) to enable developers to build agentic apps that can talk to each other.
- Agentic memory on Teams that AI agents in Teams remember past interactions.
- Interactive Agents for Teams Meetings and Calls can be added from the Teams store to deal with specific tasks in calls and meetings.
- App, Chat, Meetings, Teams
- Adoption & engagement insights to carry out analytics by a developer in order to gain insights on usage and related details.
- Resize Teams windows and panes, which finally allows you to adjust the size of different sections and areas in Microsoft Teams.
- Share a file (forward) in chat to forward a file.
- Calling, Meetings & Devices
- Phone devices get line key support for shared lines and call transfers
- Phone devices get the ability to add or edit external contacts
- Streamlined, unified role-based access controls (RBAC) for Teams device management
- Speaker recognition and attribution in Teams Rooms on Android
- Firstline worker
- Simplified UI for frontline workers
